GRAPEFRUIT, Ariz. — Bryant's Travis Wood was extended to three innings in his third spring training appearance for the Cincinnati Reds today. The lefty allowed his first run during his stint, walking three, striking out four and surrendering one hit.
Wood pitched the fifth, sixth and seventh innings of the Reds' 13-5 win over the Oakland A's. He faced 13 batters. Considered a contender for the fifth starter in the Reds rotation this season, Wood has worked seven innings in three games so far this spring.
