CABOT — The Bryant White Lady Hornets eighth grade team of Bryant Middle School will play for the championship of the Cabot Classic on Saturday[more] at 12:30 p.m., after defeating Central Arkansas Christian 27-22 on Tuesday night.
They’ll be taking on Cabot North in the title game.
The Bryant White girls include Mariah Aguilar, Jayla Anderson, Lindsey Butler, Mallory Curry, Katie Davidson, Jerrica Gray, Haley Holliman, Destiny Hoffman, Colleen Johnson, Miranda Lawrence, Taylor Lindberg, Makayla Nguyen, Alexis Parsely, Briana Rutherford, Sarah Shepard and Abby Staton.
Lindberg led the way with 12 points and 12 rebounds. Johnson added 6 points and four boards. In addition, Hoffman finished with 5 points while Anderson and Lawrence kicked in 2 each. Lawrence also had five rebounds.
“We hustled and worked hard on defense to make things happen,” noted Lady Hornets coach DeAnna Ward. “We have a long way to go on offense. We need to do a better job of setting up and taking quality shots and we had way too many turnovers.”
