The Bryant White Hornets eighth grade basketball team of Bryant Middle School piled up a 23-7 lead by halftime on the way to claiming a 38-21 win over the Bryant Blue Hornets of Bethel Middle School Tuesday night.
Tristan Calhoun led the way with 13 points. Kaevon Jones and Brandon Murray added 6 with James Polite scoring 4.
White led 8-2 after a quarter. The 23-7 halftime lead expanded to 33-11 going into the fourth quarter.
“I’m proud of the fact that 10 different guys scored for us,” said White coach Heath Long. “We really did a good job of sharing the ball. We played well tonight.”
Bryant White is set to take on Benton at the Bryant Middle School gym on Thursday. Meanwhile, Bryant Blue hosts Lighthouse Charter on Thursday as well.
