RUSSELLVILLE — The Bryant White Hornets seventh grade team of Bryant Middle School opened the 2017 on Tuesday night with a 37-24 victory over the Russellville Gales.
Cori Nichols scored 14 points to lead the way. Jordan Knox added 6 and Antoine Cage had 4.
“We played really well,” said Bryant White coach John Harrison. “This is a talented group of kids and we played great defense the entire game. We did a great job in our full-court press and led 20-4 at the half. Cori Nichols and Jordan Knox pressured the ball and were very active. Chris Gannaway, Antonio Cabot and Braylen Montgomery all played with high energy and effort.
The team plays again at Bryant Blue of Bethel Middle School on Thursday.
