CONWAY — The Bryant White Hornets eighth grade team of Bryant Middle School fell behind early and couldn’t battle all the way back as they absorbed a 33-18 loss to Conway Blue on Tuesday night.
O.J. Newburn led the Hornets with 10 points to go with five rebounds. Catrell Wallace led the team with eight boards.
Bryant White, now 3-4 on the season, opens play in the Maumelle Christmas Tournament this Friday at Maumelle Middle School. They’ll play Little Rock Dunbar at 7:30 p.m. On Saturday, they’ll take on Little Rock Henderson at noon with a chance to advance to the tourney semifinals.
