CABOT — Bryant junior Peyton Weaver finished fourth overall and missed advancing to the Overall[more] State Tournament by one stroke as the Lady Hornets finished fourth at the Class 7A State Golf Tournament at Greystone Country Club.
Weaver shot a 162 over the 36 holes of the tournament, finishing with an 80 on the second day. She was edged out for the trip to the overall by Mount St. Mary’s Taylor Loeb who shot a 161.
Savanna Cathey was second for the Lady Hornets at 185 (87-96) with Abigail McGee at 214 (105-109), Carley Miller at 117 (117-123) and Tiffany Robinson at 249 (123-126).
Conway won the championship with a team total of 488. Fayetteville finished second at 526 followed by Fort Smith Southside at 560. Bryant was just a stroke back at 561 with Bentonville fifth and Rogers sixth.
University of Arkansas signee Summar Roachell of Conway was individual medalist with a two-day total of one-over 141. Fayetteville’s Anna Gracy Lavy was second, 13 strokes back.
