There is a new way to pay your water bill in Bryant. The City of Bryant Water Department has[more] created bill paying options for residents.
"You can choose the way you pay," Bryant mayor Jill Dabbs said.
The department is now offering Direct Debit Authorization.
"It's a secure way to pay your bill with your checking or savings account or by using a credit/debit card," Dabbs explained. "Credit card information is not visible once it is saved."
Billing information will be mailed to the resident for review.
"This is so issues may be cleared up prior to debiting the account," Dabbs added.
There is no additional fee for paying with Direct Debit Authorization, which can be accessed online at www.cityofbryant.org.
The current rate is $3.50 and was reduced to $1.25 on Oct. 1
Also coming soon to the City of Bryant website will be applications for paying bills at Walmart or Edwards Food Giant.
"The time has come for us to change our website," Dabbs said. "And it will continue to improve."
Walmart and Edwards Food Giant both charge a small fee per transaction that is subject to change at their discretion. Both locations accept payment in the form of cash, check, money order and credit card.
Residents may still pay by traditional mail service or in person before 4:30 p.m. up to the 25th of the month. There is no additional fee for this method of payment and a drop box is available at City Hall and the Goodwill parking lot.
Payment by telephone is $5 per transaction.
