LITTLE ROCK — John Winn poured in 17 points and the Bryant Blue Hornets eighth grade team of Bethel Middle School dismissed The Anthony School Panthers, 47-20, on Thursday to advance[more] to the championship game of the Anthony Classic. The Hornets will take on Episcopal Collegiate of Little Rock tonight at 6:30 in the finals.
The Bryant Blue team includes Jake Acord, Austin Green, Ryan Hall, Jason Hastings, Brushawn Hunter, Andrew Kincaid, Blaine Knight, Brian Tackett, Paul Tierney, Brandon Warner, John Winn, Mark Winn, Dylan Wolfe and Brendan Young.
The win improved the Hornets to 3-2 on the season.
They led 13-5 after a quarter and increased the margin to 26-10 by halftime. It was 39-14 going into the final period.
Warner added 8 points, Wolfe and Kincaid 4 each. Green, Hastings, Mark Winn and Hall each contributed 3 points and Tackett had 2.
