Two people have been charged in connection with the shooting that occurred Tuesday[more] night, April 2, that left a Bryant Police Officer wounded and a suspect, Thomas O’Dell dead.
Dolly Burnett (38) of Alexander and Lonnie Ridling (24) of Benton were both arrested late Wednesday night after a follow up investigation by the Arkansas State Police and the Bryant Police Department which led to their involvement with the shooting incident that took place just outside Fred’s store late Tuesday night.
Burnett and Ridling met O’Dell several days ago after O’Dell’s vehicle ran out of gas on I-30. Days later, they planned the Commercial Burglary at the Fred’s store. On the night of April 2, while driving the stolen truck from Missouri, Burnett and Ridling dropped O’Dell off at the Fred’s store.
Dolly Burnett was charged with Theft of Property, Theft by Receiving, Commercial Burglary, and Obstruction of Gov’t Operations.
Lonnie Ridling was charged with Theft by Receiving, Commercial Burglary, and Obstruction of Gov’t Operations.
Both subjects appeared in court today where they were both ordered to be held without bond due to pending possible charges of Capital Murder due to the shooting.
