Sponsor Heartland Bank of Bryant along with the Bryant Area Chamber of Commerce call on area residents to channel their inner pirate and participate in the 27th annual Bryant Fall Fest’s Treasures in the Sand. Those attending the annual event are instructed to bring their Fall Fest postcard to Bishop Park on Saturday, Sept. 27, or register onsite at the Bryant Area Chamber booth to dig for buried treasure for adults – gift cards, etc.
“For our 27th celebration, we added something for the adults,” noted chairman Carlton Billingsley. “Great prizes are going to be drawn at each hour. The drawing winner may dig for a prize. Then those who were winners through the day are back in the drawing for the grand prize – an iPad Mini.”
Participants must be present to win.
Ping pong balls numbered to match the prize list will be buried in the sand on a trailer. Those whose postcard is drawn, will be invited to dig for a ping pong ball.
You must be 18 to be eligible for the prizes.
Prizes so far include: Gift cards for TaMolly’s, U.S. Pizza, Copeland’s, Edwards Food Giant, a round of golf with cart for four at Hot Springs Village and gas gift cards.
“There are numerous activities for the children at Fall Fest as has been our long-standing tradition,” said Fall Fest chair Allison Ramsey. “We wanted to get the adults involved with the kids cheering them in this event. Think of it as a reward for bringing the kids out to Fall Fest.”
Other contests that are open to adult participation include the Pumpkin Bling and the Hula Hoop Contest.
The Pumpkin Bling, sponsored by Bryant Auto Sales and Underground Exchange, is a contest of pumpkin decorating. A modern twist on the pumpkin carving tradition of old, this contest gauges how creative participants can get with bling – jewels, glitter, buttons, brads, pipe cleaners, nail polish, cotton balls, fabric, paint, fur, gauze – all manner of material attached artfully to the pumpkin.
