The Bryant Blue Lady Hornets eighth grade team of Bethel Middle School captured its fifth[more] straight win and eighth in the last nine games with a 28-21 victory over the Bryant White Lady Hornets of Bryant Middle School at the Bethel gym on Tuesday.
Blue put together a 7-0 third quarter to turn the tide after Bryant White had built an 8-5 lead through the first quarter and a 16-11 edge at the half.
Kendal Rogers led Bryant Blue with 8 points, six rebounds and three steals. Reagan McCormick added 7 points, Riley Hill 5 with Bethany Hutchison and Kasey Ward picking up 4 each.
Hill collected a team-high seven rebounds and Ward had three.
For Bryant White, Destiny Martin led the scoring with 8 points. Deja Rayford added 4 and Macey Jaramillo 3. Kennedy Harris, Hadley Dickinson and Abby Ostrem added 2 each.
Bryant Blue, now 13-3 overall, wraps up its season on Monday, Jan. 28, at home against Lighthouse Charter.
Bryant White travels to Hot Springs Lakeside on Thursday, Jan. 24, before hosting Lighthouse on Thursday, Jan. 31.
