FAYETTEVILLE — Because of rain in the northwest Arkansas area, all of the the first round games at the Class 7A State Tournament will be played at the Randall Tyson Athletic Complex in Springdale, according Annette Scogin with Springdale Public Schools.
Games will be played at 2, 4, 6:30 and 8:30 p.m.
"If we can move the last game to Fayetteville High School and start at 6:30 or the same time as Tyson, we will," Scogin reported.
Originally, half of today's games were to be played at Fayetteville and half at Springdale.
Bryant, the top seed from the 7A-Central Conference, is scheduled to play in Springdale at noon on Saturday against the winner of today's game between Rogers and Cabot which is one of the games moved from Fayetteville to Springdale due to the weather. Indications are that it was be the 2 p.m. game.
The forecast in the Fayetteville-Springdale area is for a 60 percent chance of rain today, 50 percent for tonight and 80 percent for Saturday with a high temperature of just 59 degrees, according to weather.com.
