The Thunder 2002 Black softball team including players from Bryant and around the[more] state have been invited to compete in the 10-and-under World Series in July 2013.
To help raise funds for the trip, the team will host a Peace Love Run 5K on Feb. 9, 2013, in Benton.
The team gets together for practice twice a week and travels to tournament across the state and in neighboring states nearly every weekend of a season that starts in March and runs through October. Thunder 2002 Black has won six state championships over the past years.
In addition to the Peace Love Run 5K, donations and sponsorships are being sought. Businesses what donate $100 or more will have be featured on the t-shirts for the race.
