Not only will there be food served at the annual Taste of Bryant on July 29 at the Bryant eight-grade cafeteria, there will also be a silent auction held, according to Bryant Chamber of Commerce director Rae Ann Fields.[more]
"Our Taste of Bryant committee members are in the process of contacting Chamber members to see who might be interested in placing an item in our silent auction," Fields said. "Putting an item in the auction will draw attention to your business. For instance, an insurance company that insures boats might opt to put in a lifevest or float to get across the point that they insure boats. Or a home builder might choose to put in a welcome mat or home decor item."
Some of the items that have been donated to the auction in the past have been patio furniture, paintbrushes, a digital photo frame, hair products, personal electronics, a one-year free rent safe deposit box certificate, a gym membership with accessories, a cell phone, a three-piece cosmetic case, two children's lifevests, two weekend rounds of golf with cart and golf towel, a gift card to PF Chang's, a barbeque set with tray, a king-size heating pad, signed artwork, an American flag, an Arkansas flag and goodie basket, two season sports passes, two comprehensive eye exams, a fiber cervical support pillow with cryoderm and ice packs, a one day class for culinary and computers, a gilft certificate for pottery, a gift basket, a 1/8 page color advertisement, and a jewelry set.
Overnight bags and accessories, an executive desk set, Southern Living at home decor, Arbonne beauty products, a transmission service with a lube and oil change, one free nitrogen tire inflation or roation and balance tires, Squire Stratocaster electric guitar, an air conditioner check and fuel injection service, and an edible treats baked goodie basket.
Restaurants gift certificates, Sony headphones, an electric smoker, a decorative vase and home decor items, a Razorback gift basket, a ladder, a gift card to Wal Mart, a Rosewood CD case, distressed wooden frames, eyewear and power tools.
