Sheridan’s Andrew Clark shot even par 36 over nine holes to earn individual medalist honors and lead his team to[more] victory over Bryant and Lake Hamilton at a golf match at Hurricane Country Club Tuesday.
Bryant was paced by Austin Harmon’s 39 but he was the lone Hornet under 40 while Sheridan and Lake Hamilton each had two break 40. Along with Clark, Colten West turned the trick, finishing with a 39. Plus, the Yellowjackets’ next two scorers turned in 40’s, Jerrod Sparks and Griffin Smith as the team finished with a total of 155, two strokes better than Lake Hamilton.
The Wolves’ Chandler Cain carded a 38 and Josh Coke hit 39 with Ryan Baker and Logan Steed at 40.
Along with Harmon, Bryant’s scoring quartet were Drew Castleberry at 41, Chase Thornton and Logan Moore at 42.
The Hornets’ contingent also included Ross Weaver and Nick Canale who each finished at 43 followed by Ben Ostrem at 45; Jonathan McVay and Brent Baker with rounds of 47; Luke Brantley at 49; Zach Byars at 54; Drew Brown and Chris Lewis at 61.
The Hornets are scheduled to return to competition on Thursday, Sept. 6, at Silver Springs Country Club in Benton.
