WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO DO IN YOUR SPARE TIME? Hunt.
FAVORITE FOOD: Hot wings
FAVORITE MUSIC ARTIST OR GROUP: I’d say George Strait’s up there.
FAVORITE MOVIE: Old School[more]
FAVORITE TV SHOW: That 70’s Show
WHAT WAS YOUR FAVORITE TOY AS A KID? A Tonka truck that was pretty sweet.
WHAT ARE YOUR PLANS AFTER HIGH SCHOOL? Go to U of A for an architecture degree.
OTHER THAN YOUR PARENTS, WHO HAS HAD THE BIGGEST INFLUENCE ON YOUR LIFE? My grandpa. He’s just kind of taught me what to do from his experiences. I listen to him.
FAVORITE THING ABOUT FOOTBALL: Hitting people.
POSITION: Guard, tight end and slot back.
WHAT DO YOU FEEL LIKE IS YOUR PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY ON THE FIELD? To make a solid block and know what to do every time. Can’t have any mental breakdowns in the blocking scheme.
WHAT DO YOU THINK OF THE SEASON SO FAR? I’m pleased so far. We’ve had good games where the offense plays well, the defense doesn’t; defense plays well and offense doesn’t. I’m ready to get all three of those working together. So far, I’m pleased but we still haven’t put it together.
WHEN THE TEAM’S DOING WELL, WHAT’S IT DOING? Everything’s going right. It feels good.
WHAT'S BEEN THE HIGHLIGHT TO THE SEASON SO FAR? Beating Conway, for sure.
WHAT'S IT GOING TO TAKE FOR THE TEAM TO BE SUCCESSFUL THE REST OF THE SEASON? Everybody will have to stay healthy for one because we’re getting some people injured, learning the new schemes of the teams we play and, like I said, just getting all three of the phases playing well together.
INDIVIDUALLY, WHAT ABOUT YOUR GAME ARE YOU MOST CONFIDENT ABOUT? I feel pretty confident run blocking. I can fire off the ball and hit people. It’s the easier thing for me. Pass blocking’s kind of hard for me. And the mental part, I think I’m pretty decent at.
WHAT DO YOU WORK HARDEST TO IMPROVE? Probably just knowing what the next defense is going to do, how they’re going to be, how they’re going to line up. And I try to work on my pass blocking.
AFTER YOU'RE THROUGH PLAYING FOOTBALL AT BHS, WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU'LL REMEMBER MOST FONDLY ABOUT IT? Probably Conway and our senior year. I’d say probably our group of friends because all the guys are pretty tight. I think we’re a lot closer than other senior classes. I’ll probably look back and remember them because, you know, outside of football too, we’re all a pretty tight group.
