WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO DO IN YOUR SPARE TIME? Play Madden, play video games.
FAVORITE FOOD: I’d have to say the Buffalo chicken at Larry’s Pizza.
FAVORITE MUSIC ARTIST OR GROUP: Li’l Wayne.[more]
FAVORITE MOVIE: The Longest Yard
FAVORITE TV SHOW: Family Guy
WHAT WAS YOUR FAVORITE TOY AS A KID? It’d have to be a football. I always played with a football when I was a little kid. I’d watch the Super Bowl and pretend I was making the winning catch.
WHAT ARE YOUR PLANS AFTER HIGH SCHOOL? I want to play college football and major in Sports Management, maybe be an athletic director. I would like to go to Southern University in Baton Rouge, La., or, if not there, any historical Black college.
OTHER THAN YOUR PARENTS, WHO HAS HAD THE BIGGEST INFLUENCE ON YOUR LIFE? I’d have to say any great football player because I try to develop my game from any good football player that has the attributes that I can try to form into my game. Michael Vick was my favorite player when I played quarterback but now, I’d have to say as a wide receiver which is what I want to play, it has to be Ted Ginn Jr., sometimes Steve Smith.
POSITION: Cornerback.
WHAT DO YOU FEEL LIKE IS YOUR PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY ON THE FIELD? To know the coverages that we’re running, to not get beat deep, keep my eyes on my man when we’re manned up and to just try to be a leader for the team.
WHAT DO YOU THINK OF THE SEASON SO FAR? I think it’s a great season. I think we’re doing pretty good. I feel real good that we have a good chance to go all the way and win State. We just have to stay focused. We have a great head coach and we have great coaches under him. They keep us focused and we work hard.
WHAT'S BEEN THE HIGHLIGHT TO THE SEASON SO FAR? Just winning and getting to the playoffs. You’ve got to take it step-by-step.
WHAT'S IT GOING TO TAKE FOR THE TEAM TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THE PLAYOFFS? We have to stay focused and go out there knowing our assignments, work hard every day and work hard every game. Put the shoulder pads on and come to work.
INDIVIDUALLY, WHAT ABOUT YOUR GAME ARE YOU MOST CONFIDENT ABOUT? I think God gave me the ability to be a great athlete and to play more than one position. That’s what I feel I could do. I can run, catch, whatever the coach wants me to do that’s what I’ll be able to do.
WHAT DO YOU WORK HARDEST TO IMPROVE? I’d have to say catching, catching the football and running routes, really my overall game but mostly just catching the football.
AFTER YOU'RE THROUGH PLAYING FOOTBALL AT BHS, WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU'LL REMEMBER MOST FONDLY ABOUT IT? I’m going to look back on the great opportunity I have because the school I came from we were less fortunate. We didn’t have what we have over here. I think it’s just a blessing from God for this wonderful opportunity to come and play for a school like Bryant.
