FAVORITE MUSIC ARTIST OR GROUP: Li’l Wayne[more]
FAVORITE MOVIE: Step-brothers
FAVORITE TV SHOW: I don’t really have one
WHAT WAS YOUR FAVORITE TOY AS A KID? Lincoln Logs
WHAT ARE YOUR PLANS AFTER HIGH SCHOOL? Go to college and play ball somewhere. I’m not really sure yet. I’m thinking about going into teaching and coaching.
OTHER THAN YOUR PARENTS, WHO HAS HAD THE BIGGEST INFLUENCE ON YOUR LIFE? I’d say, Coach (Paul) Calley. He’s always been there to help out. He’s been a good influence.
FAVORITE THING ABOUT FOOTBALL: Being on the field away from everything and getting to hit people.
POSITION: Defensive line and tight end
WHAT DO YOU FEEL LIKE IS YOUR PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY ON THE FIELD? I’d say rushing the passer just because it helps the rest of the defense out, with the coverages and stuff like that. On offense, just making a hole, driving people off the ball.
WHAT DO YOU THINK OF THE SEASON SO FAR? I feel like we’ve had a good season besides the loss to Northside, which I think kind of made us stronger. It kind of opened our eyes and I think we’ll finish out strong.
WHEN THE TEAM’S DOING WELL, WHAT’S IT DOING? Just playing together. Being balanced on offense, running and throwing the ball. Just playing as a team.
WHAT'S BEEN THE HIGHLIGHT TO THE SEASON SO FAR? Probably beating Van Buren. They were undefeated. Nobody knew how that game was going to go and we showed everybody what we had.
WHAT'S IT GOING TO TAKE FOR THE TEAM TO BE SUCCESSFUL THE REST OF THE SEASON? Just staying strong and working together, keep on practicing hard no matter who we play. You’ve got to practice like it’s the State championship week every week.
INDIVIDUALLY, WHAT ABOUT YOUR GAME ARE YOU MOST CONFIDENT ABOUT? I’d say, on offense, it’s just be blocking. When we line up in Jumbo and I’m at fullback, I feel like I can make a hole. On defense, shutting down the run would probably be my best thing.
WHAT DO YOU WORK HARDEST TO IMPROVE? Pass rushing.
AFTER YOU'RE THROUGH PLAYING FOOTBALL AT BHS, WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU'LL REMEMBER MOST FONDLY ABOUT IT? Probably just the great group of guys that I’ve played with from seventh, eighth grade. Always having somebody there for you.
