OTHER THAN YOUR PARENTS, WHO HAS HAD THE BIGGEST INFLUENCE ON YOUR LIFE? HOW HAVE THEY INFLUENCED YOU? My grandparents because they have always encouraged me to give my best each and every day.
FAVORITE THING ABOUT CROSS COUNTRY: How encouraging everyone is! My teammates and girls on other teams are always super supportive of each other which is something most sports don’t have.
WHAT’S YOUR APPROACH TO A RACE (Strategy/Preparation)? I try to get out as fast as I can at the start and then run a consistent pace until the end where I try to sprint the last 200 meters.
WHAT DO YOU THINK OF THE SEASON SO FAR? I think, as a team with a lot of new top runners, we have done really well. We definitely have a shot to get conference again this year.
WHAT’S BEEN THE HIGHLIGHT TO THE SEASON? Getting my personal record at our home meet this year.
AFTER YOU’RE THROUGH RUNNING CROSS COUNTRY AT BHS, WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU’LL REMEMBER MOST FONDLY ABOUT IT? I will remember my teammates and Coach (Danny) Westbrook because after six years of running, this team means a lot to me. They are supportive and they push me to be the best I can be every race.
