WHAT WAS YOUR FAVORITE TOY AS A KID? I used to always play with the Hot Wheel cars.
WHAT ARE YOUR PLANS AFTER HIGH SCHOOL? I want to go UCA and major in digital film making.
OTHER THAN YOUR PARENTS, WHO’S HAD THE BIGGEST INFLUENCE ON YOUR LIFE? HOW? My brother and coaches; my brother has influenced me probably by accident. I just look up to all his mistakes and try to correct them as I get older. And my coaches just push me to the limit and drive.
WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE THING ABOUT TRACK? My teammates and the motivation we get from each other and the bond we have with each other.
EVENTS? Shot put and discus
WHAT APPROACH DO YOU TAKE TO YOUR EVENTS? Just to not worry about my opponents and do what I do best, just make I execute everything I learned in practice, and perform well.
WHAT DO YOU THINK OF THE SEASON SO FAR? I love it so far. We’ve got a real good team and it’s really motivating knowing that you have a good team and you have to carry your load. So it drives me more to practice harder so we can continue to do well.
WHAT’S BEEN THE HIGHLIGHT OF THE SEASON SO FAR? For me, my personal record in both shot and discus. For shot put that was 44’11” and discus it’s 115’. I’m working on getting that higher for conference.
WHAT’S IT GOING TO TAKE FOR THE TEAM TO BE SUCCESSFUL AT CONFERENCE AND STATE? Do what we know we do best and that’s work hard and not get complacent with the wins we have right now, continue to strive and work harder.
TALK ABOUT YOUR EVENTS NOW; WHAT DO YOU THINK IS YOUR BIGGEST ASSET? WHAT ARE YOU MOST CONFIDENT IN YOUR ABILITY TO DO? My speed.
WHAT DO YOU WORK HARDEST IN PRACTICE TO IMPROVE ON? Staying inside the ring after my throws and staying high when I release.
WHEN YOU’RE THROUGH RUNNING TRACK AT BRYANT HIGH SCHOOL, WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU’LL LOOK BACK AND REMEMBER MOST FONDLY ABOUT THE EXPERIENCE? The reaction that my coach had after I threw. He was kind of shocked and said a couple of words that made me laugh. That’s probably what I’m going to remember most.
