WHAT WAS YOUR FAVORITE TOY AS A KID? A little soccer ball I used to play with outside.
WHAT ARE YOUR PLANS AFTER HIGH SCHOOL? I’m going to the Marines.
OTHER THAN YOUR PARENTS, WHO HAS HAD THE BIGGEST INFLUENCE ON YOUR LIFE? Probably Coach (Steve) Oury; just hearing stories about what he used to do in college and high school and him running.
FAVORITE THING ABOUT CROSS COUNTRY: Just being able to get off campus and run through trees and the backroads and everything.
WHAT’S YOUR APPROACH TO A RACE? Sleep about 20 minutes before the race then stretch.
WHAT DO YOU THINK OF THE SEASON? It’s been a really good season.
WHAT’S BEEN THE HIGHLIGHT TO THE SEASON? Winning at Conway because that was a really rough course we run there.
WHAT’S IT GOING TO TAKE FOR THE TEAM TO BE SUCCESSFUL AT CONFERENCE AND STATE MEETS? Everybody being really supportive of each other and trying to group up and hold on to each other, carry each other through the race.
AFTER YOU’RE THROUGH RUNNING CROSS COUNTRY AT BHS, WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU’LL REMEMBER MOST FONDLY ABOUT IT? Just being able to have Coach Oury as my coach and the team that I’ve had and how supportive they’ve been through everything.
