OTHER THAN YOUR PARENTS, WHO HAS HAD THE BIGGEST INFLUENCE ON YOUR LIFE? My uncle; He’s the only one that graduated from my mom’s side of the family and no one’s graduated from my family so he’s kind of pushed me to graduate and be successful in life.
WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE THING ABOUT FOOTBALL? Just everything about the game. It teaches you responsibility and how to overcome adversity and how to just keep going when things are all bad.
POSITION: Defensive end
WHAT DO YOU FEEL LIKE IS YOUR PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY ON THE FIELD? First of all, to hit the guy in front of me and, if it’s a pass, contain and, if it’s a run, try to get to the running back.
WHAT DO YOU THINK OF THE SEASON SO FAR? We’ve had a good season so far. I think if we keep working hard every day, we can get pretty far.
WHEN THE TEAM’S PLAYING WELL, WHAT’S THE KEY TO THAT? Everybody’s on the same page. No mistakes in the game, good practice before the game all week.

WHAT’S IT GOING TO TAKE FOR THE TEAM TO BE SUCCESSFUL THE REST OF THE SEASON? If we keep working harder and harder every week, keeping building onto each game.
TALK ABOUT YOUR INJURY: It happened in the fourth quarter of the Salt Bowl. Someone took my knee out, tore my MCL, ACL and PCL. Pretty bad.
INDIVIDUALLY, WHAT ABOUT YOUR GAME ARE YOU MOST CONFIDENT ABOUT? Containing, not letting the linebacker get hit by the offensive linemen.
WHAT DO YOU WORK HARDEST TO IMPROVE? Speed. I tried to get as fast as I could.
AFTER YOU’RE THROUGH PLAYING FOOTBALL AT BHS, WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU’LL REMEMBER MOST FONDLY ABOUT IT? I think the first thing I’ll remember is my injury. The second is the people I’ve played with. I’ll never forget them. And how somebody from school can be your brother and how you can depend on somebody. And all the lessons I’ve learned from the coaches.
