Central Arkansas Development Council Bryant Senior Wellness and Activity Center at Bishop Park is hosting a Baking for Bucks Contest and Fundraiser.
The entry fee is $10 per item and the event open to the public. All baked goods entered into the contest will be judged on taste, appearance, and originality. Baked goods may be dropped off at the center from 1 to 3 p.m., on Thursday, Dec. 19, or by 9 a.m., on Friday, Dec. 20.
The first place winner will receive $100, second place will receive $50 and third place will receive $25. Winners will be announced at the center’s Christmas party on Dec. 20, where all items entered into the contest will be served.
The judging will be conducted by Custom Cakes and Creations. The contest is sponsored by Whatley and Elrod Elder Law Practice.
The Bryant Senior Activity Center is located at the new Bishop Park Complex, 6401 Boone Road, #3. The program gives older adults support and encouragement to reach new levels of independence, fostering educational and emotional wellness for persons 60 and older. Activities include exercise, social interaction, nutrition, transportation services, recreational events, book clubs, computer training, and more.
