HOT SPRINGS VILLAGE — Scott Schmidt fired an 18-hole round of 76 to earn individual medalist honors at a three-team match at Magellan Golf Club on Monday. Tanner Caton tied for second overall at 78 but the Hornets lost the team title by five strokes to Benton, which finished with a team total of 329. Sheridan was third with 383.
In girls competition, Benton, led by medalist Abbey Lee’s low round of 93, took team honors over Sheridan 305-319. Bryant only had two girls available when three are needed for a team score. But Katy Edwards shot a 107 to finish fourth overall. Brooklyn Waller turned in a round of 124 for the Lady Hornets.
For Bryant’s boys, Clayton Harbour shot 89 and Landon Allison 91.
Bryant concludes the regular season with a home match at Hurricane Country Club this Thursday.
