The opening ceremonies for the 2009 Southwest Regional Babe Ruth tournament for 14-year-olds featured the landing of a helicopter from Baptist Hospital, delivering the ball for the ceremonial first pitch. The Bryant 6-year-old All-Star team was honored and one of the players, Austin Schroeder, accepted the ball when it was delivered and made the first pitch. Each of the nine teams were introduced as well as Babe Ruth and tournament officials and the team of umpires. (Photos by Rick Nation)[more]
