I was at the Little Rock Touchdown Club presentation and I was very proud of Chris and of the whole Bryant Hornet team because David Bazzell not only recognized the great accomplishments of Chris but he noted the great performance of the whole hornet team last week.
David said that Coach Jones informed him that Chris had caught a 28 yard pass on the last play of the half for a td against Conway. Let me put in here a little note about the history of Bryant football. Back in 2001 against Benton, the Bryant hornets were facing 4th down and goal from approx the 30 yard line and Lance Parker throws a td and then in 2005 in the same situation Anthony Mask throws a td against Benton again. There is something about that 30 yard line and the Bryant Hornets.
I was listening to Rob Patrick on the radio when the last play of the half against Conway was coming up and he acted surprised that offensive coordinator Jones (who was sitting in the booth next to Rob) was calling an offensive play instead of going for a FG but knowing the Bryant Hornet history, I was not. Great Job Hornets. Get fired up for NLR.
