“It was not a good night for the Lady Hornets,” commented coach DeAnna Ward.
Of the eighth grade game, she said, “Our press was effective with 16 steals but we couldn’t finish the job to score many points. We just couldn’t match up to their size. They were huge and just kept pounding the boards and putting it back in.”
In the seventh grade game, Jayla Anderson scored 8 points and came up with three steals for the Lady Hornets. Katie Davidson had five rebounds.
“Colleen Johnson had a great night from the free-throw line hitting three out of four,” Ward noted.
The Bryant White eighth grade team is scheduled to play again at Benton on Thursday, Dec. 10. The seventh grade team returns to action at Morrilton on Monday, Dec. 14.
