Good quality used clothing, especially slightly worn popular adolescent and teenager clothing, and monetary donations will be accepted by the Rotary Club of Bryant during a clothing drive Saturday, Dec. 5, 9:30 to 11:30 a.m., at Baxley Penfield Moudy Realtors at the intersection of Highway 5 and Reynolds Road.
The donations are for the Kids Closet, a Rotary service project, which was founded in November 2008 and by mid September 2009 had served 416 children with 2,091 items – including shoes and backpacks.[more]
The request for the clothing and other items is through the local schools, the Boys and Girls Club of Bryant and local churches.
“These donations are really needed as we are getting thin in these areas,” said Michelle Finney, project director. All donations are tax deductible. Receipts are available at the point of donation.
