Many years ago, the grounds where Halo Salon exists now, stood an old bauxite house on the land of former Bryant resident H.O. Payne.
After the decades past, the old house was eventually destroyed by a lightning storm and the land sold for commercial use along Reynolds Road. The only thing left standing from those days are two large pin oak trees, which grace the entrance to Halo Salon, owned by Stephanie Pritchard and Cara Dickerson.[more]
"We were both in the medical profession and we've known each other for several years," Pritchard said. "We wanted to do something different so we went to cosmetology school together and knew from the day we started that we were going to open this salon. We stayed true to our goals the whole way through school and last February, we opened."
The Halo Salon, located at 1104 No. Reynolds Road in Bryant, offers not only the most current hairstylings, but also manicures, pedicures and massage therapy. Staff members along with Pritchard and Dickerson are DeShay Melbourne, who is the licensed massage therapist on hand, Charles Pritchard who is a stylist and instructor, and stylist Jami Caldwell.
"I think Bryant is a great place to be and at this location, we are kind of in the middle of everything," Pritchard said. "There are a lot of great people around you and you are close to the schools, and shopping areas. We are just glad to be here and be a part of the community."
