As part of Red Ribbon Week at Davis Elementary School, each student wrote a note about why they wanted to be drug free, stuffed it into a balloon and released it in hopes that it would be found elsewhere and inspire more people to live drug-free lives. According to Brandi Soucy of the school, “Last year, we received letters from as far away as Illinois from people who found these balloons and felt compelled to respond. It was so exciting for the kids to hear back from these folks and they were thrilled to participate in this activity again this year.”
