The Saline County Regional Solid Waste Management District is encouraging[more] the citizens of Bryant to make “Reduce, reuse and recycle” part of their New Year's resolutions.
SCRSWMD has several recycling programs underway to help people reach this goal and will introduce them at the town hall meeting, tonight at 6 p.m. at Bishop Park.
This year, SCRSWMD plans to establish a recycling center next to Saline County Airport that will accept paper, cardboard, metal, electronic waste and more. They also plan to put in a recycling trailer – similar to the one next to city hall – at Bishop Park.
The SCRSWMD is also in the process of judging winners for the competition to create a shorter name and unique logo. Local students participated in the county-wide contest.
