Junior Hannah Raney finished the cross country course at Bishop Park in a time of[more] 13:28 to lead the White team to a narrow victory in the annual Bryant cross country intrasquad meet held Tuesday, Aug. 30.
The White team also boasted the top junior high finisher in Caitlyn Bell who was actually third overall with a time of 14:19.
The White team finished with 662 points. The Blue team had 668 and the Black team 697.
Stacy Emmerling was second overall, leading the Black team. For the Blue team, Stephanie Cyz, who finished fourth overall at 14:31, and Melinda Murdock, who was fifth in 14:31, provided the pace.
The Lady Hornets officially open the 2011 season with the Bryant Invitational on Tuesday, Sept. 13, at Bishop Park.
