BENTON – Two Saline County media outlets have announced that they are combining forces. Benton-based[more] Saline River Media, parent company of radio station KEWI will begin operating MySaline.Com effective immediately, beginning with a pregame tailgate launch party at the annual Salt Bowl event on Friday afternoon.
“Since purchasing KEWI Radio in November of last year, we have been very impressed with Shelli Russell and the following that she has gained with the website MySaline.Com since its inception in 2007. We feel like we can make KEWI a much stronger brand by aligning our digital efforts with an already established website.” said Grant Merrill, owner and President of Saline River Media.
“I am excited about the partnership and opportunity to combine MySaline.Com’s operations with Saline County’s radio station of record for over fifty years. This is a win-win for the station, MySaline.Com, and our listeners, viewers, and advertisers.” said Shelli Russell, founder of MySaline.Com.
Plans are in the works for video streaming of KEWI’s local programming, local sporting events, and breaking news and weather events.
Listeners and advertisers are invited to attend the launch party at War Memorial Stadium beginning at 4:00 PM. KEWI’s Grant Merrill, Shane Knight, and Jim Gardner will be broadcasting a special pregame show prior to the Benton/Bryant football game which kicks off at 7:00 PM.
