LITTLE ROCK — Pulaski Tech to offer free summer aerospace camp for teensHigh school students can get a head start exploring careers in aviation and aerospace technology through a free two-week Aerospace Academy Summer Camp being offered June 15-25.
The program is open to 20 rising high school juniors and seniors in Central Arkansas with an interest in learning about aviation and aerospace technology.
The deadline to apply is May 22. There is no course fee, and lunch and snacks will be provided.[more]
The camp is sponsored by Pulaski Technical College, the Little Rock School District’s Metropolitan Career Technical Center, and the Central Arkansas Aerospace Alliance. Students will spend time at Pulaski Tech and at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock learning about careers in aviations and aerospace technology as well as some fundamental engineering principles. Students also will tour area aviation and aerospace industries in central Arkansas.
Classes will meet from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Thursday at Pulaski Tech’s Business and Industry Center, located on the campus of the Aerospace Education Center/IMAX Theater in Little Rock at 3303 East Roosevelt Road.
