Matt Wooten has been a Bryant Police officer for more than a year now and he likes it.
"It's exciting," he said. "I like helping people out and that's what motivates me."
Wooten grew up in the Landmark community and attended Mills University Studies School in southeastern Pulaski County. He worked on motorcycles for six years before deciding that law enforcement was the way for him to go.
"This was something I decided to get into," Wooten said. "Some of it is stressful at times. You don't want to do it, but it makes us better officers and keeps us safe."
Wooten and his wife Anna and their two-month-old girl Devyn like Bryant.
"Bryant is very community-oriented," Wooten said. "Everybody sticks together. It's a nice city to live in. They put on a lot of good stuff in the community and I think it's a good place for my family."
