Bryant resident and business owner Rick Poe has been appointed to the Bryant Planning Commission. Poe has been a resident of Bryant for over 20 years since relocating here in 1993 and will be representing Ward 4.
He graduated from Marmaduke High School and later earned his Bachelor’s Degree from Arkansas State University. Poe married his wife Kim and they made the decision to move to Bryant because of the great community atmosphere and the access to a high quality school system. Their daughter, Mikah, is a Bryant High School graduate.
Over the years, Poe has been actively involved in several businesses. He was co-owner of Five Star Homes located in Hot Springs Village from 1990-2009. In 2010, he became co-owner of Storm Seals, an insurance restoration sales company that has members and clients in Arkansas, Oklahoma and Colorado, and is headquartered in Bryant. This spring, he also became the co-owner of Acument Contracting LLC, a business that specializes in insurance claim repair for hail and wind damage.
“My family and I love living in Bryant, and I want to be a part of keeping this city one of the best places in central Arkansas to live,” he said. “I look forward to working with the Bryant Planning Commission to make this happen.”
“Rick is a part of the growing majority of Bryant residents who have chosen Bryant as the place to raise their family, grow their business and become an active part of our beautiful city,” said Bryant Mayor Jill Dabbs. “His experience as a business owner as well as his involvement with startup companies will translate well into his new position as a planning commissioner. I feel confident the talent and knowledge Mr. Poe will bring to the planning commission will be of great benefit to our city.”
