Pelphrey to address the annual Saline County Razorback Club Fish Fry on Thursday, June 25

The Saline County Razorback Club is pleased to announce that Arkansas Razorback men’s basketball coach John Pelphrey will be the guest speaker at the Annual Saline County Razorback Club Fish Fry.

“We are excited to have Coach Pelphrey for this year’s fish fry, last year we welcomed head football Coach Bobby Petrino and had a great turnout and expect the same great welcome for Coach Pelphrey” said Alton Robertson, President of the Saline County Razorback Club, “His presence will provide a great opportunity for Razorback fans to come and meet and hear Coach Pelphrey and get excited about the upcoming season.”

The Fish Fry will be Thursday June 25th at the Benton High School Cafeteria, catered by Denton’s Trotline of Benton. Doors will open at 6 pm. There will be a raffle drawing for two season tickets to Razorback football home games at Little Rock and Fayetteville.[more]

Also there will be a live auction of items donated by 2008 American League Cy Young Award Winner Cliff Lee of Benton.Razorback Club Board members will be selling fish fry and raffle tickets for the next two Saturday’s at the Benton Wal-Mart.

Tickets are also available at the Bryant Area Chamber of Commerce, the Benton Area Chamber of Commerce, Sport Shop of Benton and Yoakum and Lovell C.P.A. in Benton. Tickets will also be available at the door.

The program will begin around 7pm and will be held again in the Butler Auditorium on the high school campus, where Razorback highlights will be shown as fans enter the auditorium. The auditorium can seat up to 1200 fans.

Joining Coach Pelphrey at the fish fry will be Razorback Foundation Executive Director Harold Horton and the “Voice of the Razorbacks” Chuck Barrett. Also Saline County football coaches will be invited to comment on the upcoming high school football season.
