Blake Patterson pitched a five-inning no-hitter as the Bryant Hornets junior varsity improved to 11-0 on the season with a 7-0 win over the El Dorado Wildcats’ JV Wednesday night.
Bryant accumulated five hits including doubles by Brandan Warner, Dylan Hurt and Patterson. Evan Lee and Connor Tatum each added a single.
Patterson struck out eight and walked three. El Dorado also had a batter reach on an error. But one of the base-runners was picked off by the Bryant pitcher and another was erased on a strike-’em-out, throw-’em-out double play to end the third inning. Hurt, the Bryant catcher threw the runner out trying to steal second.
