The Bryant Parks Department announced it is offering a variety of Summer Youth and Adult programs, as well as special events for the whole family.
Thanks to a donation by Lander’s Auto, the summer lineup includes:
Youth Track and Field (Saturdays, beginning June 13)
Youth Tennis (Tuesdays, Thursdays, or Saturdays, beginning June 13)
Youth Volleyball Camps (June 15-17)
Youth Soccer (Tuesdays or Saturdays, beginning June 13)
Youth Basketball (Thursdays, beginning June 18)
Free Adaptive Swim & Tennis Programs (Saturdays, beginning July 18)
Passport to Play (Monday–Thursday evenings, beginning June 15)
Free Story Time in the Park (Wednesdays, 10 a.m. at Mills Park)
Free Movies in the Park (Friday Nights, beginning in June)
Adult Basketball Leagues (beginning in June)
Free (for Military) Veteran’s Archery League (Sunday afternoons, beginning in June)
Special Discounts and Summer rebates at Bishop Park
And more.
The program lineup is highlighted with free programming for individuals with disabilities, including the Serves with a Purpose tennis program for youth with physical and cognitive needs. In addition, a variety of time slots and offered days to fit the needs of the community.
“I’m very excited and proud of the summer lineup we have for 2015,” said Brandon Griffin, Parks Director for the City of Bryant. “Our department has grown considerably over the past few years in both its depth and breadth of programming. I think that our Adaptive-, Grant-, and Community-funded programs are a reflection of our city’s progressive and resourceful leaders.”
