Lawrence Edwin (Larry) Hicks, Jr. age 66, of North Little Rock, died Friday, Aug. 6, 2010.[more]
He was born in Malvern on July 4, 1944 to the late Lawrence Edwin and Luella Cunningham Hicks.
Reared and educated in the Big Creek Community and Poyen schools, he was a former branch manager for the Graybar Electric Company in Little Rock, having worked there for 30 years. Larry was a Baptist by denomination.
He is survived by his children, Lawrence E. (Tripp) Hicks III, of North Little Rock; Rachel and her husband Josh Inmon of Benton; and Michelle and her husband David Carnahan of Bryant; by a brother and sister-in-law, Joe and Sandra Hicks of Big Creek; and by four grandchildren, Taylor Hicks, Blake and Drew Carnahan, and Luke Inmon.
Larry was also preceded in death by a sister, Sarah Hicks Helms.
The family will receive friends at J.A. Funk Funeral Home on Thursday evening, Aug. 12, 2010 from 5 until 7 o’clock.
A memorial service will be held at 10 o’clock on Friday morning, Aug. 13, in the funeral home chapel with Brother Bob Inmon officiating. A private committal service will follow in the Big Creek Cemetery.
