In an effort to create more water pressure for the citizens of Bryant to use, the Bryant Water/Sewer Department got a 2-million gallon water tank approved by the Bryant City Council at a cost of $3.6 million (estimated), funded through the Arkansas Natural Resource Commission.[more]
"Hopefully this will lower ISO ratings which will decrease resident's insurance ratings," Bryant Mayor Larry Mitchell said. "It's to increase our water storage capacity for future growth and emergencies."
The water tower will be 169 feet tall and constructed in an undeveloped area near Market Street and Highway 5. Bids will be open on Thursday, Sept. 23 at 1 p.m. at Bryant City Hall.
The tower will take tentatively a year to construct.
