Thirty-seven year old Michael Garrett, Jr., has been arrested by Bryant Police and charged with rape and four counts of second degree sexual assault

On Sunday, Feb. 16, in the early morning hours, Bryant officers were dispatched to the area of South Shobe Road, where they met with some parents who said that their 12-year-old daughter was spending the night with a friend and while there, she was sexually assaulted by Garrett, her friend’s step-father.
The victim called her parents to come pick her up and told them what had happened.Once they learned of the incident, they immediately notified the Police Department. The case was turned over to the Bryant Criminal Investigation Division where investigators learned that this was not the only victim. Garrett’s step-daughter, who is also 12 years old, has also told police that Garrett has touched her inappropriately on several different occasions.
A warrant was issued for the arrest of Michael Garrett Jr. He was given a $50,000 Sheriff’s Bond.

June 6th, Michael Garrett was found not guilty despite DNA evidence linked him or his kids as a possibility was inside victim private parts and underwear which, now ex-wife of Garrett testified his kids weren’t there that entire week. There’s much more to this case from Garrett’s own mouth that says only one word; “GUILTY.” How he got off is a mystery and for those who care to research this case, please do because this man needs to be in jail before he scars another little girl’s heart.
