Mallory Gross receives scholarship from Ouachita
ARKADELPHIA, Ark.—Mallory Gross, 17, of Bryant, Ark., was recently selected to receive a Ouachita Scholars scholarship from Ouachita Baptist University.
The Ouachita Scholars program seeks to award incoming students who demonstrate outstanding academic performance. The scholarship is renewable for four years and is awarded based on a high level of academic achievement and standardized tests scores.Gross is a senior at Bryant High School.
She is the daughter of Mike and Tammy Gross.
Ouachita Baptist University is a church-related, liberal arts university whose aims are to meet the educational needs of students and to prepare them for places of leadership and service. Located in Arkadelphia, Ark., Ouachita offers more than 60 programs of study, with a 12:1 student to faculty ratio.
Saline County A.S.E.A. chapter to meet
The Saline County chapter of the Arkansas State Employees Association (A.S.E.A.) will meet on Tuesday, May 12, at 5:30 p.m. at the Saline County Department of Human Services office (enter through the back door) at 1603 Edison in Benton.A.S.E.A. field representative Marc Watts will be in attendance to provide a review of the recently recessed legislative session and its potential effects on state employees.
Also, there will be an election of chapter delegates to the association’s upcoming annual convention.All state employees in Saline County are invited to attend.
A.S.E.A. is a nonprofit organization working to improve state government and state employment. It has 77 local chapters in Arkansas.
