LITTLE ROCK — Youth Home, Inc., has announced that Noah Knapp, from Bryant, will be a participating artist in the XVIII annual Eggshibition, to be held April 3, 2009 at the Jack Stephens Center on the University of Arkansas at Little Rock’s campus.
Last year’s event was attended by over 850 of Arkansas’s best art collectors and friends of Youth Home.
Eggshibition is Youth Home’s largest annual fundraiser. The theme for Eggshibition XVIII is “Eggs and the City”. The festivities include works of art featuring egg shaped or egg-themed works of art created by more than 100 artists.
Youth Home is Arkansas’s premier psychiatric residential treatment facility for youth ages 12-18, who are diagnosed with mental illnesses such as major depression, borderline personality disorder, bipolar disorder and schizophrenia. The agency employs over 240 people including adolescent psychiatrists, therapists, mental health professionals, and educators and is located on a 52 acre campus that includes Siebert School, administrative offices, four homes for boys and two homes for girls. (A third home for girls, Ozark House, is located in West Little Rock.) Currently, Youth Home has 78 residential beds.
Youth Home, Inc. administers a variety of comprehensive programs specializing in individual, group and family therapy. Each year, its programs help 1,500 Arkansas adolescents and family members grow into healthier contributing members of the community.
