After leading most of the game, the Bryant Blue Hornets seventh grade team of Bethel Middle School fell victim to a furious comeback by the Lighthouse Charter Academy Wolves of Jacksonville. The Wolves pinned a tough 29-28 loss on the Hornets.
“The guys played really well and we were in control of the whole game and let it slip away in the fourth,” said Bethel coach Dominic Lincoln.
Cade Drennan led the Hornets with 10 points. Brandon Weems added 6 points. Ethan Hilkert and Christian Cain finished with 5 points each while Ben Devine scored 2.
The Bethel team concludes its season at home tonight with A and B games against Cabot North.
