BENTON — The Bryant Hornets are voted by 7A/6A South coaches to finish second in the[more] league this year, while the Benton Panthers are voted to finish seventh in the 20th annual Hooten’s Arkansas Football magazine. The Bauxite Miners are voted to finish eighth in the 7-4A and Benton Harmony Grove is voted to finish fourth in the 5-3A.

The 440-page book, which takes five months to compile, offers the most comprehensive preseason football coverage in Arkansas. It features dual covers. The LSU Tigers are Hooten’s preseason No. 1 team, followed by Southern Cal, Alabama, Oklahoma and Georgia.
Hooten's high school favorites to win it all in 2012 are Fayetteville in Class 7A, El Dorado in Class 6A, Pulaski Academy in Class 5A, Nashville in Class 4A, Glen Rose in Class 3A and Junction City in Class 2A.
