HOT SPRINGS — The junior varsity for the Hot Springs Lakeside Rams held off a furious second-half comeback by the Bryant Hornets sophomore/JV team Monday night, holding on for a 19-14 win.
The Rams led 19-0 at the half.
“Our defense shut them out the second half,” noted Bryant coach Clint Shadwick. “We had two quick scores by Seth Tucker in the third quarter. The kids played hard and made big plays. It just wasn’t enough.”
The coach added, “We had a hard time blocking their 3-3 stack defense. They blitzed every down and we had a hart time picking it up.”
Bryant’s JV hosts Benton’s junior varsity next Monday.
