HOT SPRINGS — The Lakeside Rams took top team honors at a three-team golf match on Thursday, Aug. 27 at Hot Springs Country Club. The Rams combined on a score of 304 with Benton just four strokes back at 308 and Bryant at 332.
Benton took top honors in girls play at 133 with Lakeside finishing at 148 and Bryant at 171.[more]
Hunter Alford led the Hornets with a round of 81. Payne Roberts shot 83, as did Tyler Green. Austin Harmon turned in a round of 85 and Jonathan Kooiman finished at 87.
The Lady Hornets, playing nine holes, were paced by Morgan Morehead’s 55. Kristen Dudley and Jessica Wilson each finished at 58.
Earlier in the week, the Lady Hornets competed with Benton and Cabot in a match at Longhills Golf Course in Benton. The Lady Panthers compiled a team score of 136 to Bryant’s 150 and Cabot’s 152. Morehead shot a 46 to pace the Lady Hornets. Wilson turned in a round of 50 with Dudley finishing at 54.
Bryant’s scheduled to play at Russellville on Monday, Aug. 31. On Tuesday, Sept. 1, a match involving North Little Rock, Benton and Mount St. Mary’s is on tap at Longhills.
