PEARCY — Nineteen different players got on the court for the Bryant Lady Hornets freshman team Thursday night but they ran into a tough opponent in the Lady Hamilton Lady Wolves. The result was a 16-25, 13-25 setback.
Camille Rawls led the Lady Hornets with three kills. Grace Sams added one. Kalina Weaver and Meredith Medford each had two assists.
At the service line, Kiarra Beard, Cora Edwards and Medford each had aces. Edwards was good on all four of her serves. Medford and Brooke Abney were 3 for 3.
Truli Bates contributed two solo blocks. Grace Camferdam and Ivory Russ added one apiece.
“Lake Hamilton played really well,” said Bryant coach Lawrence Jefferson. “They dug up everything. They have a good team.
“We struggled on serve-receive,” he added.
The team is set to play in a tournament in Benton on Saturday then play their first home match against North Little Rock on Monday, Aug. 29.
