Bryant Lady Hornets softball coach Debbie Clark announced today that Bryant High School will[more] host the 2012 Class 7A State softball tournament. Clark has led the Lady Hornets to back-to-back State championships and is expected to be a favorite for a third with virtually everyone back that played a part in those two campaigns.
Clark set the Lady Hornets' field will be spruced up for the event including a new wooden fence, thanks in large part to contributions from Everett Buick GMC and Big Red Valero.
The State finals will once again be held at Bogle Park on the campus of the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville with the finalists determined at the tournament in Bryant.
She made the announcement in conjunction with the signing by three of her stars to college scholarship offers today. Peyton Jenkins signed with Central Baptist College in Conway; Kayla Sory with Henderson State University in Arkadelphia; and Jessie Taylor with the University of Central Arkansas in Conway. (More on that to come.)
